Mechanical polishing is a surface pre-treatment method for aluminum profiles, it involves the use of a work wheel covered with cotton or sisal to take off all surface defects through an abrasive motion. Polishing helps to remove the surface defects such as naturally oxidized film, extrusion scratches, extrusion lines and irregularities on the aluminum profile. This will make the profile surface have a smooth and shiny appearance that is visually appealing.
